Hoopalooza

This was our first time attending the ABES Hoopalooza and we really had a great time. This is the b-ball game where ABES teachers and staff vs. WBIR Channel 10's Heartbreakers. All of the players on both sides were very funny, and had a lot of great sportsmanship. We raised a lot of money for our school, all while just having some fun. You would think that the best part would be watching the game, but if you thought that you would be wrong. You see, Todd Howell, was on channel 10's team. For those of you who don't already know, Harmony wants to be a Meteorologist when she grows up. She has been fasinated with the weather since she was 2 years old. At 2 she would sit and watch Storm Stories on The Weather Channel. She always does a weather check each morning, and when it storms she runs for the remote to get the latest updates. So anyways, there he was out there playing ball. She could not wait for the game to end so that she could go down to meet him. You would have thought Miley Cyrus had entered the building. When the game ended we took her down, and she froze. She could barely talk, and turned super shy. He was so kind to her though. He asked her what was the one thing she wanted to know about the weather. She asked him, "Is forcasting the weather hard." His answer was this, "Yes it can be. However, just like anything else in life that is hard, if it is something you truly want to do with all your heart then God will give you the ability to do it!" What a wonderful thing to say. I am so pleased that out of all the things he could have said that this was his answer!!!
